Title: Pepsi bubble clock Post by: ld26 on February 21, 2016, 08:52:37 am Does anybody have advice for getting the hands off without damaging them? I've been known to be too rough in the past and don't want to mess up anything, the inner bubble glass is pretty dirty on its back side or else I wouldn't even attempt it, thanks

Title: Re: Pepsi bubble clock Post by: ld26 on February 21, 2016, 01:24:01 pm sure, the second hand has a built in screw, you have to turn it by the little knob on the top, once the second hand is off you will see a silver nut holding the minute hand in place, just turn this until it comes off, then the minute and hour hands just pop off, you just have to apply enough pressure to get through the 60 years of stuck, on my clock the minute hand came off no problem, but the hour hand took some playing with.
just have to take your time and not pull anything too hard... They kind of messed up the double bubble pepsi clock market when they reproduced a couple of the faces.

When the guy in Ohio started reproducing them the value went to about half. Orange Crush clocks as well. The second hand "unscrews" backward and then you can remove the other two hands.
