Title: 11/22/63
Post by: Slapshot42 on February 20, 2016, 07:16:53 pm
Ok totally not soda related!!

Did anybody watch the new series on Hulu last Monday?

I enjoyed seeing the old cars, soda machines, and the whole past era.  Reminded me of the movie set from Back to the Future, and a few others! This show has a time warp very interesting so far...

Do you have to be a Hulu subscriber to watch it?

Yes, it's a 8 week series so for $7.99 s month they have you on the hook. So for $16 ( the price of a movie) that get you for at least.  I plan to use the service for a few months and than evaluate whether or on I want to keep it.

I read the book - it was pretty good.  Interesting thought exercise, typical Stephen King.

Don't have Hulu, but I'm on Season 3 of Boardwalk Empire and the 1st 3 episodes of it seem to focus on two visible gas pumps.

I just took on Hulu to watch this series. Not too bad. The only critique that I have is that I've only seen two vehicles made to look rusty or dirty. All others are brand new. Otherwise we like these mystery shows on the non- networks.
Trying to catch any other non 1960 anachronisms. They did their homework very well.

I like watching the old episodes of The Twilight Zone on Netflix.  A lot of great stuff in the background in many of the episodes.

Agreed and two of my favs "The Fever" and "Nick of Time". Two episodes focused on coin ops.
