I know compressors are available but there is no one in my area that would install it and charge the system. It's a completely restored machine so I thought it would be worth the cost to purchase a complete new unit.

Post by: ajf5577 on February 04, 2016, 12:43:42 am With all due respect, if it's a completely restored machine, the evaporator, etc should be in good shape. There must be an air conditioning or appliance person nearby that can swap the compressor. You'll probably need the same person to install and charge the new system anyway.
