Crap is right. Think like three others surfaced since watching such things. This one by far the nicest. At $1200 well bought. Other than ads have never seen all three Canteens together. Candy/Peanut/Gum. Canteen retained ownership of all machines and the vast majority scraped after service.

Anyone happen to have a peanut one Ltransam gets first grab. I need a gum if any of those about, than the next peanut that turns up :-)

Thanks for the post!
Creighton

All we need is a pic of the Candy version and we are all set. I'd never even heard of these until Creighton just filled me in the other day. A totally different dimension in vendors and way cool!

Were these red? Mine appears to be a tan spray job over a green.
The red does look nice.

Looks like the mechanical workings are similar to the Stoner machines??

Leonard,

I found a picture where the machines were mounted to your style of candy machine.

As far as the red color, it could be original.  The pictures I seem to find show either the machine as a solid red or the machine with a marbleized grain to them.

The Canteen is one of the few of my toys that is a KITD. Keep It Till Dead :-)
Been busy with vintage drums of late but a nice tool to get all of the flappers clean and shinny is a large vibrating Tumbler. One of those items that Harbor Freight has that works fine. Using coupons can get one for not much. Recommend fine ground walnut shells from a gun reloading shop. Will post progress on my Canteen but will be awhile.

Creighton started another thread called collections for TV and this would be a great example!

An episode with this set of machines would be enjoyed by everybody......young and old.  :happydrinkers:
