Title: Vendorlator VF-100-4 Vend motor?? Post by: Termite on January 24, 2016, 10:15:54 am Howdy peeps!
(I hope this is the correct forum for this post...if not, my apologies) I'm in need of a vend motor for a VMC-100-4. (Square top) (pics of the machine; http://soda-machines.com/discussions/index.php/topic,21007.0.html) The motor I'm needing: (http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z101/TermiteByte/SodaPop/20160123_2109221_zpsceeskexx.jpg) (http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z101/TermiteByte/SodaPop/20160123_211129_zpsqqut1wkr.jpg) (http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z101/TermiteByte/SodaPop/20160123_211014_zps8poqzw6s.jpg) I would certainly appreciate any assistance in locating one of these...or even possibly a retrofit, or something that will work in its place...?? Thank you and have a great day! Regards, Bug Title: Re: Vendorlator VF-100-4 Vend motor?? Post by: Sarman47 on January 24, 2016, 08:37:45 pm Hi Bug
Here may be a start, http://www.merkle-korff.com/products/. Maybe touch base and see if they have info on your model for replacement or repair. Jeff Title: Re: Vendorlator VF-100-4 Vend motor?? Post by: Termite on February 03, 2016, 11:09:39 pm (Thank you, Jeff. That was the first place I tried. Great minds think alike, I suppose. Haha!) **Update** You know, in this day and age, it seems as if everybody is just looking out for themselves. I know that, at times, I'm just as guilty as the next guy, but, whenever an opportunity presents itself, I'll usually help someone out...and, yes, a *lot* of the times, it turns out to be more than I bargained for, but I trudge on and see it through to the end. That's just the way I was raised. But I digress... I only mention that because a member here, was kind enough to send me a message indicating that he may have the motor. He said that it was over at his father's house, and he needed to check. I thanked him and asked him to check and let me know at his convenience. Turns out that he had one.....seems his father worked for Coca~Cola, years ago, and they had a few parts left over for one of these type of machines. (Please don't ask me for his contact information or to forward any messages, because that's not what this is about. Post your wants/needs in your own thread and see what happens. Thank you for understanding). So I said, "Great, what do you want for it?" He replied with, "Was that really your Grandfather's machine?" "Yes, sir, it certainly was. He died when I was 7, so I have just a few memories of him, but there's a picture of he and I standing next to that machine, and that's one of those memories. That's why I'm trying so hard to get the thing going again"., I answered. There was a brief pause on the line, and he replied, "Man that is a cool story. I tell you what, just cover the postage and you can have it". I was genuinely stunned. Here I was thinking, "oh boy, here it comes, bug...here comes the other foot...lol, ...and he sucker-punches me with a random act of kindness..??! What in the...??! Wait. What?!!!". I replied back with, "Excuse me?" "Yeah. Just cover the postage and it's yours", he repeated. I got his information and sent him a check along with a small token of my appreciation and cannot thank him enough for his consideration and his generosity. Best of all, it restored this bug's faith in humanity. Mr. Eddie, again, I thank you, sir. Sincerely. I guess the moral to this this old bug's story is, to simply say, be good peeps and pay it forward. My Dad use to say "do a good deed, and it will come back to you 10 fold". This site does have great memebers, with a wealth of knowledge. |
