        A guy brought this in the other day thinking I might know something about it because there is a foil plate on the rear with the Vendo logo. Does anyone here have any information on it?
        The embossed letters on the door are awesome as well as the graphics. Just thought I would share.

That is a great piece. It needs some period packages on the shelves.

        Thanks Ross. It is the very same unit, I can tell by the cracked switch bezel and missing parts.

Now we know a value range for something like this.
There were three people bidding on eBay. Two people duked it out all week on eBay, trying to stay on top the entire time, then at the end neither of them ended up with it.

I think its great. Would look good next to a Campbell's soup warmer.

             The guy is into dealing Black Americana items. He has been trying to get in touch with Oprah to sell it.
He said that he thinks this is worth as much as the car he is driving, $10K.

Sounds like the ebay seller does alot of wishful thinking. On getting 10K for an uncompleted machine. I have heard Oprah owns a original Cavalier 102, mr. Cooney told me that 3 years ago.

I think it's Cool !! I would like to have one BUT  I don't think I pay more then a few hundred for one . It would take up a lot of counter space

I was fascinated when I saw it surface on Ebay, and I bid aggressively,  or "duked" it out lol, but I couldn't bring myself to pay much more, as it just didn't seem worth a lot more. However,  it's Black Americana,  coca cola, and Aunt Jemima advertising association sure does make it marketable to many collectors out there! Fun piece, let's see if another surfaces!

I would doubt that Oprah is looking for one of these. Lol!
