Title: cavalier uss-8-64 Compressor Post by: BigKev on January 07, 2016, 08:10:36 pm Hello this is my first post. I just recently inquired a cavalier uss-8-64 from my uncle. He purchased new in early 80's. It has been in storage and unplugged for past 10 yrs. I can plug it in and compressor only runs for maybe 10 min and cuts off. Is most likely the compressor shot?

Check to make sure the thermostats is turned a few notches like 3 or 4 if not turned on the compressor will cut off basically right ways since there is a cut in and cut out setting on the t stat. This controls cabinet temperature and from keeping the compressor running continuously . Or bad.
