OK,
Last evening I returned from a long personal/business trip out of town.
My neice in law came by with her 3 boys and are they all boy... into everything.
As we were standing in the garage waiting to get the kids in the car... the oldest came up to me and asked if he could have the white twist tie he had in his hand... his mother asked where did you get that and he pointed to my "almost finished-putting-it-back together Vendo 63 Coke machine"
My heart skipped a beat when I realized he removed the tist tie I had around the wire to my seliniod... this was a reminder where to plug it back on the selinoid. Now I not sure where it goes.
HELP!!!!

well, there are only four wires down there, two with the push-on connectors go to the solenoid, the two with the screw-spades (held on by screws) go to the vending switch, one on the N.O. (normally open) & one on the C. (Common) marked terminals, see? it's always handy to have a note-pad & sketch a quick drawing of what you're working on , if nothing else!

You have every right to kinda freak out about stuff like that!
But, you are in luck! The cool thing about A.C. power is that in this case it doesn't matter which of the (2) spade connectors go. You can hook them up either way.
The only time you have to worry about issues like you were worried about is when the solenoid side has a chassis ground. In this case, you don't.

GREAT!!! That sure helps. well... it could have been worse.
I may have to ban the kids from the garage. They are here here alot.

I usually use my digital camera taking before during and after pics but my daughter took it to Colorado for Spring break. I should have it back this afternoon.

Not sure it's the same as yours, but here's a pic of my wiring from the door connector to the solenoid and switch. Can also post schematic is that would help but Johnny and Brian have covered most of it...

That's a great picture! That should help Jasmine quite a bit. It always helps to have a visual representation.
That's what I love about this joint, people are soooo willing to help each other! I haven't found many other hobbies, I mean, lifestyles that has such a great support network.

All the advice in one place how cool.
Just didnt want to short or just plain fry something when I plug it in.
So much work on it so far dont think I could handle a set back.

I am more intrigued about the pictures that come back from the Spring Break trip....
Great pic to get the lines hooked up again. I had the same problem but had another square top handy to see how to hook it up again

The pic I posted above was taken almost 2 months ago as I was tearing the machine apart. I'm expecting that the camera will save me at least 5 or 6 times as I start to piece the machine back together. Wouldn't be so bad if I was able to spend a dedicated week... but putting in 2- 3 hours every week or so, makes it hard to remember where everything came from.... As others have indicated in a separate thread I also have about 50 baggies with labeled screws and smaller parts.
Anyway - Jasmine you need to close this thread once you have it all put back together... Let us know that the job is done.
