Title: Re: Popperette Post by: SIGNGUY on October 08, 2015, 02:26:01 pm I believe it was purchased by a member here.
we'll let them disclose the details if they see fit. pretty cool to have a NOS Unit... but as long as you have one that you can use too as they are incredible machines to see operate! and make pretty darn good corn too! Title: Re: Popperette Post by: Slider-Bob on October 08, 2015, 06:49:05 pm Hi Everybody,
I was the lucky one who bought the NOS Popperette. I am very excited and can't wait to see it at the show when I pick it up! Not everyday you see a NOS Popperette! Stop by and see it at the Chicago Show if you go in November! And no, it's NFS in case you were wondering. Special thanks to the members I spoke with regarding the purchase before I pulled the plug, and to Leonard who found it for me. I owe you big time buddy. I've been looking for a complete, nice one for a long time, but this one just blew me away. I'm so stoked! I don't plan on using it...Sad to say it will be on display "as is" to maintain it's value (I will save the boxes and crating materials). I have another Popperette I will be restoring soon and will be using. It's missing the globe but I have a line on another original glass globe. Don't need the base that I'm also missing. Will probably use it on the counter in my basement man cave. John Signguy Nelson and Brenda Beayoung helped me find my first one and buy it at last years show, so a big shout out to them also. Thanks! Title: Re: Popperette Post by: Slider-Bob on October 08, 2015, 07:23:16 pm Here is the one that needs restoring. Cracked Popcorn plastic lens, no return coin bezel, rusty salt shaker, needs rewiring, no globe or base.

I am not surprised that you are not going to use it. After restoring mine and making it just like new, I did not have the heart to make any popcorn in it. http://popperette.blogspot.com I plan on buying another theatre style popcorn maker to get my movie popcorn fix. Jeff Title: Re: Popperette Post by: Larry on October 09, 2015, 08:42:15 am Nice find Bob/Leonard but, it's a machine.....use it.  Red velvet ropes are not allowed.  I'm still waiting for that nos decapper so I can plug it in and use it.
Seriously Bob, it would look nice displayed. Title: Re: Popperette Post by: jholmgren on October 09, 2015, 05:29:56 pm Congrats Bob - that's a unicorn right there. Hurry and get that other one restored, there's no better popcorn!
