Title: Chrome Plating
Post by: JerryG on October 05, 2015, 06:43:46 pm
I am looking at getting a coin entry bezel done.  Has anyone used Speed and Sport in Houston lately?  I hear they are pricey but have good quality.  Reviews on the board are somewhat dated.

Thanks,

Jerry

One of the best in the business, they specialize in pot metal restoration and do amazing work. They can fix damaged bezels as well.

What do they charge for the average size bezel like a Vendo 81?

A member here had the vmc bezel, and the coin return piece that slides up and down on the bezel replated by them for $300 shipped.

I know...you guys/gals will say too much $$$$, but great work and 2 week turnaround counts for something.

According to mygoose101, Glen (moondawg81) has a guy that can get them plated for $75.00.

You may want to check with Glen and see who he is using.  It sounds way to cheap to me.

I just got my bezel and bent coin thing done for $55...they do a very good job...I wouldn't call it great, but it's pretty nice and you can't beat the price.

I wanted to share the before and after photos of my VMC Coin bezel I got back from Speed and Sport. It came out awesome. Well worth the money. If you want bigger photos PM me with your cell or email address and I will send them to you.

Thanks,

Jerry

275 plus shipping. The coin entry was bent initially and he fixed it too. Pot metal is tricky.

Have never seen a negitive review for Speed and Sport on the boards I'am on. Glad there were no issues with a hard to replace bezel.
