Title: Looking for Rest on Crank Handle Spring Post by: brasskey on October 01, 2015, 01:28:31 am Any place to get the individual rests for the spring in a crank handle? I'm going threw a mess of parts from the 81 I have and can find only one. The previous owner started a restoration and stopped in the middle of it and there was just a bucket of parts. So, I'm sure I'll be missing some things. I saw that I can buy the entire crank handle or an internal parts kit, but can't find individual pieces. Anybody happen to have one or know where I can get it?

I have taken several of these apart during restorations and I bet only 2-3 have had 2 of them in there..
I've reassembled them with one and operation is just fine ...2 will only make the clutch mechanism "harder" when rotating the handle as there will be more resistance to the spring... you'll be fine with one. Good to know. Thank you. Does is matter which end I put the rest on the spring?
