WOW $8000.00 for that machine? mine is a near mint original, that i was asking $8500.00 for.  Silly person shouldn't have tried to low ball at 7000.00

It seems $8000 is not a bad price for an original complete embossed 7up.   Could be a good  investment.

If you notice the 8 holes on the face of the machine, I'm sure some other soda company got a hold of it and marked it as their brand and painted the machine red. I guess it could have Coke but they already had their own machines so who knows.

Talked with a retired sales rep from 7up years ago he said during the 60s the "Cola Wars" Pepsi and Coke drivers would go around
to service stations or grocery stores, beat the competition's price, then either decal the machines, put a sign over the embossing,
swap it out with one of their machines then take the competitors machine and paint it up as their own.... Sounded crazy.
He had some great stories.
