Title: VMC Bezel 81 reproduction large coin door
Post by: Ezra on August 18, 2015, 10:40:03 am
I've talked with a foundry that has experience reproducing antique parts in aluminum.  I am considering having them make a production run of the large coin door VMC bezel with slug rejector.   Any comments on the demand that is out there, this will help me determine how many to have him make. Post or pm me if you're interested or have a comment.

Thank you

Ezra,

I've considered having the same thing done but always seems to be too cost prohibitive. That being said, once you know cost, I would be interested in a couple just to have on hand if they are reasonably priced.

Thanks for looking into having these made!!!!!!

Jeff

Hi Ezra

I too had a conversation with a casting company last year.  And as Jeff said its all about cost  . You will also have to insure the material can be Chromed As You will also have to factor in that cost which is averaging $200 +

I also would throw my name in the hat for 2 of them if its reasonable cost    Leonard

        Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok. I'm planning on thinking about this some more and sending them my original for casting. note these will be unchromed. I am expecting these to be in the ballpark of $400 each with slug rejector.

What does the slug rejector have to do with the bezel or are you making both?  Do you mean the bent coin release that is on the bezel??
