Title: IRON COKE SIGN Post by: BONOVOX on July 19, 2015, 09:51:16 pm Having met Rod and Janet last week (great people, and an awesome store / warehouse) They were gracious enough to sell this Coca Cola Iron sign to me.
It is 5 1/2 feet wide (I have a coke botltle at the bottom left as reference). It is a SOLID sign, weighing about 80 - 100 lbs I would say. It has two brackets on the backside where it was attached to the roof of the local Coke bottling plant (Rod, maybe you could confirm, and/or shed more light on the sign?) I'm thinking of building something at work to mount this sign..... I simply think it is too heavy to mount on the wall... so either it a pole mount, or hung from the ceiling joists somehow. Pole mount slow spinning with lighting a meter below the sign would be my vote. Creighton Title: Re: IRON COKE SIGN Post by: Fire708 on July 20, 2015, 12:28:27 am Cool, converging on badass, sign.
Title: Re: IRON COKE SIGN Post by: rayg on July 23, 2015, 10:49:47 pm really cool! I would add some back lighting
Title: Re: IRON COKE SIGN Post by: SIGNGUY on July 27, 2015, 02:38:48 pm I think some soft back light inside the cans, like rope or led light against that brick wall would look killer..
Cool piece , was it original paint or did you have it painted? Title: Re: IRON COKE SIGN Post by: BONOVOX on July 27, 2015, 04:31:38 pm Rod had it powder coated the Red.
The sign is just against the brick for the purpose of the picture.... I do have brick walls in other areas of my basement that the sign might be displayed on.... but I have to see first how I'm going to mount it.
