Title: Vendo 81
Post by: Victor on June 24, 2015, 07:19:17 pm
I'm finishing up my Vendo 81B and all I have left to do is install the compressor unit and paint the embossed lettering. Any Ideals on the best way to paint the embossed Coca Cole lettering on the door with out making a mess. Thanks

I recommend locating a talented sign painter to do the embossed lettering...

if your machine is a top notch restoration, don't chance messing it up as the lettering is the main focal point.  call around to sign painters, pinstripers in your area, see their work and have them do it.. make sure they stop ON TOP of the letters and don't round over the edges..

it's the only way to go IMO...

Agreed and if you aren't happy with the work beforehand don't have them do it!!

You could always use a decal until you find the right person !!

Only way to go but plan on $250 to $300 to get it done

Yikes for one embossed logo?  That's robbery!

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten

I have had several painted that look perfect just surprised how much your guy charges. My guy paints a logo in 25 mins and charges hourly at $45 includes paint and drives to my house ...  I guess prices depend on where your at...

Agree with everyone here. Those letters are the first thing that draws everyone's eye on a machine so they have to be perfect, but $250 - $300 does sound high. My guy James does perfect letters and he's much cheaper then that. And he's in CA where nothing is cheap.
