Title: Vendo 81 medallion Post by: vendo81d on June 02, 2015, 11:07:26 am I am currently restoring a Vendo 81B. The paint and lettering was pretty well gone from the "Have a Coke" bottle door medallion. I would like to reuse it if possible because the plastic is in great shape with no scratches or cracking. I cleaned it up using toothpaste and got all of the old paint off. My question is, does anyone know how Vendo applied the silver to the medallion for the "Have a Coke" and the circle around the perimeter? I remember several years ago that Jeff Walters made a reproduction that was not painted. I also remember that Home Arcade bought several of them and got someone to apply the silver and it looked just like the original. Unfortunately, Coke shut Jeff down and the reproduction that Fun-Tronics sells is only silk screened and doesn't look anywhere as nice.
