Title: Glass Bottles Post by: jholmgren on April 25, 2015, 07:30:14 pm Made a 'restock the house' trip to Sam's club today.
Happy to see they had the 8oz glass bottles as well as the 12 oz Mexi-Cokes by the case and they finally got more of the variety pack (Sprite, Coke, Fanta Orange) - so I loaded up the cart and had my youngest stock the 44 and the Slider this afternoon. Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: halehouse on April 25, 2015, 07:55:50 pm Awesome. I can't get anything in glass at Costco anymore.
Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: tkaz on April 25, 2015, 08:09:11 pm Home Depot by me has started selling Mexican Coke and Fanta glass by the case, I think it was $18-19 or around there. It's next to the contractor checkout.

It's next to the contractor checkout. They sell them individually in the coolers up front. Maybe I'll ask about cases. Glass is tough to come by in any store. Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: jholmgren on April 26, 2015, 08:49:19 pm summer is almost here.load up the outside cooler.do the glass bottles vend okay out of the 44.thanks The small (8oz) bottles will vend fine from the 44 as long as you install shims in the vend column. The newer small bottles have more narrow "hips" and need to be pushed closer together to vend. I used some plexiglass from Home Despot for my shims. Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: halehouse on April 27, 2015, 06:16:28 am If you have a World Market near they sell glass bottle sodas... We do. They sell individual bottles out of the coolers by the checkout. When I asked about cases they said they only sell them individually, but have cases occasionally or seasonally (Christmas time). I can check back again when I'm over there. Thanks. I can get decently priced cases of Cheerwine at Wegman's. Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: Eric on April 27, 2015, 09:06:14 am I work for Orca Beverage.. that's the soda company that specializes in the vintage soda... I know they are going to sell in 12 pack cases (I designed the packaging)
and they do 4 packs. I'll ask what all stores they sell in.. We just have World Market here along with Albertson's, in Missouri but they say they sell to T J Maxx and CostCo? Also Cracker Barrel which is a country restaurant... I'll get a list... they are mainly on the West coast but have some stores up East. Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: Chedki on April 27, 2015, 09:27:25 am Eric,
Did they ever accept your design for the Nichol Kola cardboard carrier? I haven't been to World Market in a while. Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: Eric on April 27, 2015, 10:03:03 am Yes they made the carrier and I redid the Nichol Kola label and neck label also... trying to get the cap made now... Look up Orca Bottle Caps on ebay those are some of my designs...
the caps are selling more that the bottled soda - Ha the Lemmy, O-So are designs I made using old original ACL labels for reference the KISS I made up... trying to get everything to look like it did back in the day. So everything has to be recreated as there is no original art laying around... But I love it.. Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: Eric on April 27, 2015, 10:03:24 am Some cases I can show...

Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: halehouse on October 09, 2015, 05:49:50 pm Our Costco is now selling the Mexican Cokes again.
My wife brought this 12 pack home today. This is the first I've seen the 12oz non-Mexican bottles. I prefer the Mexican with cane sugar. I found the marketing interesting. "Now In 12oz Glass Bottles". Edit: took the photo with my iPad and it's too large to post. Will add later when I can resize it. Not cane sugar, but still so nice to see glass bottles coming back. Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: Creighton on October 10, 2015, 08:26:16 pm Yep,

Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: Kilroy on October 12, 2015, 06:17:30 am Dad's yes, Hires no.
Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: Eric on October 12, 2015, 07:55:48 am I've seen Hires in cans only.. was pricey... they didn't carry it long the price was twice the price of any other root beer... but it was really good.
I'm in Missouri. Title: Re: Glass Bottles Post by: Creighton on October 12, 2015, 06:02:46 pm Think the shop in Lawrence, KS has Hires bottles. Be there in a couple of weeks and will check.
