my 2 cents from novice eyes. I think it might be a repaint because the bottle door springs look blue. I cant see the copper tubing from the water dispenser. Ad needs some close up pics of compressor section and main cabinet. my 3 cents Title: Re: Pepsi 81 VMC on ebay Post by: ZiaDan on April 18, 2015, 08:02:03 pm The main door gasket is painted blue and it has a vendo bezel.

Title: Re: Pepsi 81 VMC on ebay Post by: Kilroy on April 18, 2015, 10:20:44 pm Possibly, but no close up pictures of the shelves, gasket, coin mech, and painted gasket aren't giving me the feeling it is a damn nice machine.

Not to get off topic but do you all think the 7 up 81 on ebay sold for real last night? My two cents is it is highly probable. But gives you an idea of what a nice restoration can sell for. I don't even want want to think what he made per labor hour on that machine. Title: Re: Pepsi 81 VMC on ebay Post by: MoonDawg on April 19, 2015, 07:58:51 am Not a chance it sold Jared, the seller has had this same machine also listed at a Buy It Now for $15K all week and it's still there. Just knowing who the seller is, exposes the tactics.

Title: Re: Pepsi 81 VMC on ebay Post by: Ezra on April 19, 2015, 08:22:07 am From Wikipedia : "Shill" typically refers to someone who purposely gives onlookers the impression that they are an enthusiastic independent customer of a seller (or marketer of ideas) for whom they are secretly working. The person or group who hires the shill is using crowd psychology to encourage other onlookers or audience members to purchase the goods or services (or accept the ideas being marketed). Shills are often employed by professional marketing campaigns. "Plant" and "stooge" more commonly refer to any person who is secretly in league with another person or organization while pretending to be neutral or actually a part of the organization he is planted in, such as a magician's audience, a political party, or an intelligence organization (see double agent).[citation needed]
