Just got my first machine and can't wait to get started restoring it!

Looking forward to all the great advice from you more experienced folks out there.

Thanks,
Ken

Welcome to the site! :happydrinkers:

That is a pretty clean original and they are only original once.  I would suggest rewiring and new fans but I don't think I would touch the rest of it.

I  agree I wouldn't restore it its too nice as it is. I would clean the galvanized parts inside and rewire it then leave it alone

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the suggestions on not restoring, but just detailing!

When I got the machine, it did not run, but couldn’t pass it up because of the price.

I have since taken it completely apart and have is sitting in my living room (to wife’s chagrin). I changed out the power cord and thing stated up and was cooling, although the evaporator motor was definitely on its last leg.

I ordered two new fan motors and plan to just replace those and redo the wiring.

Question, the two new fan motors I received have only 2 wires compared to 3 on the old ones. Can someone tell me if these will work and if they will which terminal on the wiring diagram (see pics) I don’t use?

Thanks,
Ken
