Title: Ideal 55 slug rejecter parts
Post by: kevboy on February 15, 2015, 08:12:31 pm
Hello everyone, I am a newbie who has been lurking on this board for a while, reading and learning, great information here. I recently bought a generic Ideal 55 slider, good body, slider rack and coin mech. The problem is the coin mech doesn't have a slug rejecter or a locking bar. I was wondering if there is a source for these missing parts? The mech that is on there now has 2 coin slots but I think I saw on the board that it will work with just 1 slug rejecter if I put it in the inboard slot on the holder. I think the cam in it is for a nickel but I am not really sure, is there a way to tell? I know that this machine will free vend without the slug rejecter and a locking bar but I want my friends to at least put in a nickel before taking all my beer and pop! Thanks in advance for any info you may have, Kevboy

You say you have two slots. What denomination does your coin entry plate say? Is it 10c (insert 2 nickels or 1 dime)? Or is it 15c (insert 1 nickel and 1 dime)?

Thank you fellas for the quick response to my question. collecture  I'm afraid that the face plate is missing so I don't know what it said. A quarter, nickel or a dime will slide thru the slots in the rain cap and back thru the chutes to where they would drop into the rejecter. I was going to get a new faceplate depending on what configuration of coinage I ended up with. I don't care if both coin slots end up working but I would like to have one. Jared thanks for pointing me to Slider-Bob, I will message him to see what he has. Thanks again everyone, Kevboy

I just wanted to add to the board that Slider Bob has supplied me with the parts that I needed. Everything is working now as it should! It was great talking to Bob and really appreciate the help and the quick response that he gave me. I hope that someday I can be as much help to someone as Bob and this board has been to me. Kevin
