Title: Weekend Find. Post by: Sarman47 on November 30, 2014, 07:52:30 pm Picked up a restored Vendo 39 from an estate sale this weekend. Was not really looking for one, just could not pass it up. Due to its condition on the outside. It was plugged in to show the compressor was working and cooling down the machine, but no key for the lock to look inside. All I could see threw the door was the 3 or 4 holes in the honey cone bottle rack. So I will be placing an order online tonight for a Rockford VE859 key so I can see what's inside. I read on soda-machine.com that there were 80,000 of them made, so I guess not the rarest. Looks like it's the older version with "Ice Cold" embossed along the bottom of the cabinet door and the cabinet has only two ventilation vents on either side.
