Title: Vendo V-63 parts needed
Post by: Scooby Doo on October 23, 2014, 06:26:15 pm
Ok I did the ice water test on my Tstat. I used a volt meter to watch the voltage click on and off instead of running the compressor. The thermostat never turned the power off when the probe was in the ice water. When I turned the thermostat to off and then back on while in the water it didn't allow power but when I pulled it out of the water and cupped my hands it did let voltage through but wont turn voltage off.

So I'm assuming I need a new thermostat.

Anyone have a replacement thermostat or what's the best place to locate one. I looked at fun-tronicsllc website and didn't see one, but did find one at soda-jerk. Any other sites for parts?

Also I want to replace the condenser fan since I'm having problems with that too. I was at Graingers and they told me it could be 1 of 2 motors. Price was $37.00. Best place to buy one?

Need a lock too. Mine was drilled out.

Lastly I saw on fun-tronicsllc site they had a free play micro switch. It says it mounts behind the bent coin return bar. Anyone use these? If so how do they mount???

You can't go wrong with the parts and service from Funtronics.

As for the free vend switch, you can either buy the one off the shelf and make it easy or follow the guide on the site and rig one up yourself and save a few bucks: http://soda-machines.com/discussions/index.php/topic,871.0.html
