Title: I need a main door latch for a Westy DU-144 Post by: SIGNGUY on September 11, 2014, 09:11:29 am Customer brought me a Westy DU-144 to restore... holy cow they are big and heavy!
he is missing the complete door latch... it looks like a rather simple item? but have never seen one? anyone have a DU-144 they could shoot me photos of the door latch? or have an extra door latch they would sell?? Could it be possible other Westinghouse latches would work? I did a google search on "cabinet handle lock" and came up with some that look somewhat similar, not sure if you'd need it to lock or not, would probably take some modifying to get it right. someone has to have one of these laying around in parts? I'm still looking into alternative options as well. will post photos of it later.. so maybe we (collectively) can come up with a concept.
