Title: Advice on opening a machine with an ACE type lock (no key) Post by: Jcarter168 on July 28, 2014, 11:13:23 am I'm thinking of buying a Pepsi Choice Vend CV-157 and the owner does NOT have the key. Is there a quick and easy way to get a duplicate key for these or will I have to drill out the lock? I did not see a number anywhere on the lock but maybe I just don't know where to look. I'm afraid if I have to use a locksmith it will cost more than the machine itself. Any advice would be appreciated.

Just in the grove,, don't drill the pin holes. They have two pins and spring in each hole. Poke with paper clip or similar thing and they will come out the holes you drilled then cut a slit in the round face and unscrew with screwdriver, or pliers. If it doesn't turn you don't have them all out.
Good luck, Steve, Title: Re: Advice on opening a machine with an ACE type lock (no key) Post by: Marvin on August 03, 2014, 11:42:41 pm I can't post a pic from thus phone. Here's a link.
http://www.lockpicks.com/tubular-lock-drill.html Used it a bunch of times. Opens them like butter. I really liked the look of this machine and also it seems somewhat compact for a can machine. I really appreciate you giving me a real world opinion on it. Anybody else have experience with this machine? I've seen others that look similar, would they be a better buy?
