Title: How to tell manufacturing date of cavalier c4-96G

Hi all
I have a cavalier c4-96G I am trying to find out when the machine
was made. I have the The ser. number it is G558544. any help
would be great

Some of the later Cavalier ID tags have an spot that while not explicitly named "Date", the numbers on the tag suggest a month and a year, like this

Note that is a considerably later machine, so your ID tag may not have such a place on it. There may be a silver label on inside/back of the coin door. Those sometimes have the date stamped into them. Check for that label as well.

Here's a page for Cavalier serial numbers, but I don't think it mentions punch buttons. I will include it nonetheless, though I cannot vouch for its accuracy.
