Title: 3' Coke Button Sign Post by: 66GTO on June 27, 2014, 01:02:43 pm I was hoping someone could educate me on the 36 inch coke button signs. I'm a newbie when it comes to signs. The disease of soda machine collecting is starting to branch out into soda signage now :laugh:
The one I'm considering is red with the bottle pic and "Coca-Cola" script. No markings on rim, such as date, model #, etc. My questions are: Was this made in both porcelain and painted versions? If so, which one would have more value/rarity? Was the 36 inch ever reproduced? What is a range of value for one in good to excellent condition? According to Petretti's price guide, there is a tin and porcelain in 24 inch size. The 36 inch ones command lower values. There were many different versions made, some with decals applied. I have a tin sign that looks to be 4 feet wide in rough shape.
