Title: Lynchburg, VA Bottling Plant
Post by: tkaz on May 02, 2014, 12:54:55 am
Today a buddy and I made a trip up to Lynchburg, VA after his flight got cancelled to meet up with his wife.  It was a good halfway point and we wanted to check out the oil tanker train that derailed yesterday after all of the rains, not everyday you get to see a wreck like that!  Well we were walking around the city trying to get a good vantage point when I turned around to find this awesome building with repainted Coke signage on the brick, it was the old Lynchburg bottling plant.  They did a really great job with the signs on it and the building looked cool, I have to do some research to see if they are using it for anything these days, would make a killer bar.

Awesome pics! I went to school at Liberty University there in Lynchburg... would have loved to look around back then
really some neat places that looked untouched back then... If I only would have been collecting back when.I have a
Nichol Kola Bench back made in 1940 from Lynchburg.
I'll have to look to see if I have a Coke bottle from that plant. Thanks for posting.
