Title: Group and status question
Post by: dr galaga on February 18, 2005, 08:15:39 pm
There is a status above the avatar and group below it.  Some people have the same thing in both, some are different - Penny's worth, Dime's worth, soda jerk, member...  what is the posting scale that is used to move from one to another (100 posts to move to a nickel)?  I tried the Help and Search and I couldn't find anything.

Hello

Not sure but I do think that at 100 we are a full nickel.

Title: Group and status question

OK... Here's the break down on Groups and Titles:

Members: 1 - 99 posts --> "A Penny's Worth..."
5 Cent Member: 100 - 249 --> "A Nickel's Worth..."
10 Cent Member: 250 - 499 --> "A Dimes Worth..."
Soda Jerk: 500+ --> "Soda Jerk"

Additionally, user names appear with different coloered text to show group status as well...
Members: --> Black Text
5 Cent Member: --> Blue Text
10 Cent Member: --> Navy Blue Text
Soda Jerk: --> Red Text
Administrators: --> Crimson Text

There are also provisions for people to edit their own titles once a certain level has been reached but please don't ask because I can't remember all the settings...

Lastly, the little blue circle(s) under the avatar or just above the group status changes as you move from one group to the next. In playing one day, I added the spinning coke can icon for the 5 Cent Members... Mine has the VMC-RC-81 and again, this can be modified by the user once a certain level has been acheived, but I don't remember the settings and would have to look them up...

If you guys are wanting to begin customizing things to your liking, let me know and I can look into the settings and modify things to lower the levels so you can change these little icons to your liking...
:p

Thanks Jim.
So, when you get over 500 posts does Steve Martin show up instead of a blue dot?

Wait a minute.  Wrong kind of Jerk :p
