Title: polyester primers Post by: krovel on March 18, 2014, 06:08:16 am has anyone ever used eastwoods polyester primer? Do you know if it is direct to metal? and do you have to primer it once it is on or can you just place color on top of it and go from there??

You will have to check the product your using to know if its direct to metal ... There all different . I use sikkens but it's high dollar compared to most . But none are really that expensive .

Title: Re: polyester primers Post by: krovel on March 26, 2014, 06:30:34 pm Was wanting polyester primer. Rust defender by clausen to be exact. It is supposed to be all in one, primer, guide coat, and filler to get panels as smooth as possible.
I am very new to body work and thought it would be more forgiving than just a high build primer. When I apply paint to my last couple of projects the panels Are still a little wavy. I am not sanding them properly. I guess I get into to much of a rush I know its not a show car but thought since it's not a lot more expensive maybe it would be worth a try. |
