I need to transport a we6 and am wondering if I can lay it over on its back if needed. Besides draining water of course, would this be ok? I've heard that this is ok . Leave the machine back upright for a day before starting it back up. It would be approx 10 hours of transport. Title: Re: westinghouse we-6 transportation Post by: johnieG on March 03, 2014, 04:11:07 pm Ummm....you might want to be sure the compressor is secure to the base of the machine or you will be in for a surprise of an unpleasant sort. also note that sometimes the rubber isolation/mounting bushings on the compressors base are rotted & will tear loose, oh & some of the compressors used a "tripod" mounting system that used two rubber bushings in the rear & a shock absorbing spring in front... cut some 2x4s to block the compressor so it doesn't pull on its mounts.
