Title: WTB: Parts for VMC-88 Pepsi Machine Post by: kraftworkz on February 27, 2014, 03:49:08 pm Some things I need for a VMC-88 Machine. Not sure if what is cross referenced with other machines, but would appreciate for more info if available.
1. Working Refrigeration System 2. Refrigeration wiring kit if not included with above 3. Crown Box 4. Cash Box 5. Adjustable Full Empty Arm unit on inside of door That will do it for now, bu not limited too. If you have other parts not mentioned for the VMC-88 Pepsi let me know what you have. As for a complete compressor deck. The one I have is frozen, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm a purist, so something original would be preferred. See photo of configuraton. Try touching base with Eric at Global Compressors, might have what you need or provide some advice on what route to follow. http://globalcompressors.com I like the look of the VMC 88, nice to see a little blue in a mostly sea of red ........... Jeff Thanks, I did talk to Eric in the past and he could only offer me a new replacement unit, not an original. I do not want something new non American.. I do not want something new non American.. we'll, then we didn't "talk" enough. everything I build is 100% American made or American Companies. you have no idea how hard it is, to keep coming up with parts, without going Chinese... and to hear a comment like that, it's rather insulting. good luck to you. Are you just trying to get it up & running, or were you planing to restore the machine? Just Venting here, so.....Why the heck would you want to stick a 60+ year old used deck into a machine? Originality wont matter squat if it doesn't work. Just sayin' if there's a concern about originality then why replace the wiring harness? Oh, wait because it doesn't work? then apply the same to the compressor. You don't put a junk yard motor into a restored auto, even if it's not to be restored, you're asking for component failure. Restore or rebuild the deck & replace the compressor. (bet you can't tell it's a pet peeve of mine) :tounge: But really, welcome to the site. Title: Re: WTB: Parts for VMC-88 Pepsi Machine Post by: johnieG on March 03, 2014, 11:31:03 pm a one-post wonder....derp :oh:

I only asked you a question by phone, as to why it was making a clicking noise, and how to solve it. You offered me an entire new replacement, which is not an option for me.it is, to keep coming up with parts, without going Chinese... and to hear a comment like that, it's rather insulting. good luck to you. However I do believe my tech got it working, I'll have to check back with him. He installed a new capacitor and start relay I think, and to his words beat on it with a hammer, and it started to work. Sorry for the miscommunication. Thank you, the luck will be needed with my client, and their machine.
