Title: What have you seen machines repurposed for?
Post by: MaineT on February 21, 2014, 05:00:39 pm
What's the best use you've seen of a part out or repurpose machine? I've seen gun safes. But this was neat.

Do you think these are actual doors or plastic molds... the coin door looks like it doesn't protrude out far enough to be an original?

interested concept though.

Would have been better to have the crank handle open the door....

I've seen the big tall Cavalier RT used as cooling/ hanging deer in... also seen a few smokers.. a gutted 44 as CD/ Record storage
seen a Westinghouse bow out cooler made into a go-cart... this was in the Club Soda magazine years ago. Anyone remember that
and the model standing beside it!

Here's a rat-rod style go-kart made from a Westinghouse http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-KtZBR4JAs&noredirect=1

Here's one turned into a kitchen bar/island: http://fancyfleafun.blogspot.com/2012/06/coca-cola-cooler-bar-island.html

Of course, I'm partial to my repurpose into a stand for my Big Green Egg!

The door seemed like metal, I did tap it. I was actually pulled on the bottle doors to see it they would open. Nope.

The coin door does look shallow, they might not be real or cut down not to stick out. The stainless trim was definitely not stainless but the coin bezels were real.
