Title: What's your favorite square top coke machine? Post by: on February 07, 2005, 10:37:27 am I have my 1957 V-216MD by our kitchen, but now I need a square corner, glass door Coke machine for beer etc. in my game room. I know there are a lot of models out there.
Which is your favorite and why? Title: What's your favorite square top coke machine? Post by: Jim on February 07, 2005, 11:03:59 am I really like the Cavalier C1-55 and even better, the C2-55; unfortunately, I don't own either one...
I also like the smaller models such as the V-63, VMC-56 and C-64. My V-64 is in Virginia at my brother's house. Title: What's your favorite square top coke machine? Post by: Paul M. on February 07, 2005, 11:38:31 am Which is my favorite?
Why, MINE, of course! My V-63 is limited to just bottles, and then only certain sizes. So some of the more versatile machines might be preferable. But for me this one has a certain nostalgia to it. Brings back childhood memories of buying a drink in between Sunday school and church...oooOOO(I hope Dad doesn't catch me with this.) Title: What's your favorite square top coke machine? I have the V-63 & the V-56 with a larger slant shelf on the way. I think these are great & the only thing I dont like about them is that I cant them to vend the plastic 16 oz coke bottles. These plastic bottles will only fit the top row& then sometimes hang up. In the lower rows the second bottle hangs up on the bottle shelf above. I would say the best machine is any slant shelf machine due to the fact that you can load most any kind of glass bottle drink. My V63 will hold 56 long neck beer bottles which is plenty for a normal person. Kevin Title: What's your favorite square top coke machine? Post by: Bob K on February 07, 2005, 12:49:03 pm I agree with Jim about the Cavalier C55's - they are real head-turners and very collectible to boot. Pricey, though .
My absolute favorite square-tops are the Westinghouse Multi-Drinks (either the WC78 or the 60). The 102 is a little too tall for me. I know there is an even larger one (126?) that gives me nosebleeds just looking at it. Of course you asked about glass door machines so I'm being of little help . I would recommend a Cavalier CS80 or a Vendo V90. Anything shorter is going to run you bigger bucks. These two are that nice comfortable middle size that to me looks just right (and won't break the bank). Keep us posted. Bob Title: What's your favorite square top coke machine? Thanks Bob. That's my 5 year old checking out the new machine. I didn't intend to shoot it from down low, but the machine is right next to the kitchen, but at the top of the stairs leading down to the basement. So the only way to take a head-on photo is from the steep basement stairs. So I was about 5 steps down, holding the camera up as high as I could. Weird, huh? But then again, at 78-inches, it pretty much is a skyscraper. Now you know why I eventually decided to not move it down those steep basement stairs to the game room. |
