Title: Canteen Candy Machine - Vendo Post by: mygoose101 on December 28, 2013, 10:12:21 pm I know zero about the Canteen Candy Machine other then what I have read here searching older posts. I picked one up that I will be posting on ebay.
I most likely overpaid for it but it was local and I thought it was cool plus I haven't used the bed in my truck for a while so I brought it home. It's a embossed (Canteen on top above mirror) 6 pull. The part I found interesting and I'm sure they all say this is stamped on the chrome where the 6 pulls are is "Property of Canteen Company of American and made by the Vendo Company of Kansas City." I have seen (2) versions. A smaller tabletop style, and a very large stand up model probably taller than a Stoner Senior. Leanard ( Ltransam) should be able to provide more on these, he's the resident expert so I would expect him to chime in. Not sure if there is a coralation between Canteen and Vendo... Sorry I'm late :tounge: well you had most the information .this machine could have been mounted to the wall also . As my Father told me all the ones were destroyed in the Cincinnati area and it was suppose to be a company wide memo . The biggest thing is it complete ? Parts are impossible to Find . As for price I've seen a completely restored one at Chicago sold for $3000 . There nice to find I'm still looking for a lock for mine .
