Title: Fan for Cavalier USS-8-64
Post by: Coke536 on December 16, 2013, 03:07:33 pm
The fan on my USS-8-64 appears to be the wrong type (notice the wood blocks in the picture).  It's so high that the bottom row from the can vending needed to be removed.  Are there replacement fans available that are "flatter" that will allow using the botton row for can dispensing?

Is a there ususally a cover than goes over the fan blades?

Thanks,

Jim

Call funtronics or soda jerk works. Both are very good to deal with and very helpful.

You can find links to their sites on the main SMC page.

The fan should blow air directly accross the evaporator coils. The picture looks like a plate has been mounted between them?

Below is a C- 64 evaporator and fan viewed from the backside.

It looks like you have the wrong motor installed on yours. Glen's motor type is readily available from either supplier and should solve your height issue.

The original fan motor probably went bad in it, and someone "made do" a replacement.

Experts, is this the right motor?
