Title: 70s Vendorlator Pepsi 56 Model Post by: NewGuy on December 03, 2013, 04:48:16 pm I picked this machine up about a year ago. It sat in a guys garage not working for a few years, and he sold it to my uncle who sold it to me. My uncle fixed it and it now works perfectly. I keep it filled with bottled water and yoohoos. :tounge: I believe its from the 70s, but not sure. The paint looks nice with very minimal scratching. The illuminated sign keeps blowing bulbs. I put in a new bulb and starter, and it blew it again. I figured it must be a ballast.
Also, coin mechaniam is not hooked up, so its setup for free. Previous owner removed the bars or whatever holds the bottles in. Now you can just reach in and pull one out, and another rolls into place. Can someone help me with dating, value, and an estimate on condition? Here are numbers from the plate on side of machine: Model-01C7030BC Serial-IRF094313 Sales Model- VFA56B-C Here are numbers from a plate on the base, beside the compressor: V23TE Serial-71N3983 Here are numbers from back of compressor: AE 160AT-132 H24 71 799873 AE3417A V115 C60 LRA22 Title: Re: 70s Vendorlator Pepsi 56 Model Post by: NewGuy on December 03, 2013, 04:48:46 pm Pic #1

Title: Re: 70s Vendorlator Pepsi 56 Model Post by: Pixel on December 03, 2013, 04:54:27 pm Hello. Welcome to the forum.
I can't really help much with information. It is a pretty machine though. I think the Pepsi sign is a 3D sign, IMO that would be a plus. Title: Re: 70s Vendorlator Pepsi 56 Model Post by: mygoose101 on December 03, 2013, 09:01:01 pm It's a 60's machine for sure. A very nice 60's machine. If that is original paint it's in great shape. That machine has always been my favorite 60's machine because it is so small and so practical. The light up face is a huge plus. As for value you are going to get many different answers but I would put it in the $500 range for sure.

Title: Re: 70s Vendorlator Pepsi 56 Model Post by: NewGuy on December 05, 2013, 08:39:15 am Is it possible to get an exact date based on numbers I posted? I listed numbers from three different locations...I was thinking 1971 because its first 2 numbers of serial number on plate that is on base of machine beside the compressor...
Anyone else have input? About value or history... Title: Re: 70s Vendorlator Pepsi 56 Model Post by: Kilroy on December 05, 2013, 08:44:49 am Vendolator serial numbers don't tie in to the mfg date. i would venture mid 1960's. Close in[ection and you may find a lablel with a date hidden in the machine.
