Title: Stoner candy machine value? Post by: magcag01 on November 28, 2013, 02:06:17 pm Anyone have an idea if what these are worth?
About how old are they? http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/atq/4213582497.html Title: Re: Stoner candy machine value? Post by: mygoose101 on November 28, 2013, 03:15:03 pm That is the later style Stoner, the value is not as much as the earlier models. Still a 50+ year old machine. Does have value and is collectible but it seems seller wants more then $650, even at $650 I would say that still is a little high. I would say $350-$400 range is a good price for that machine in that condition.

Agreed, price is on the high side, but if it's local, and want one bad enough, and it's complete, then buy it. Title: Re: Stoner candy machine value? Post by: MaineT on November 29, 2013, 10:01:49 am Now that I have my stoner theater coming, I sold one of those in a LOT worse condition yesterday in one day for a lot more than that, so it depends on where you are at and your local interest. Northeast prices... Breaking the working class since the Boston Tea Party!!!
I would also opt for the blue one, but that's going to be the "and up" not the $650! I say if it's in a range you can afford and you really want it, decide what it's worth to you and not what it's worth 3 states away(or 9 states). And if you can afford it, don't lose a machine you want over $50-100, if $50-100 is a lot to you, you might need a new hobby! Title: Re: Stoner candy machine value? Post by: davethebirdman on November 29, 2013, 02:06:53 pm I agree with Tim.. I'd love the opportunity to buy those at that price. You grab what you can at a price that is good for you.

Title: Re: Stoner candy machine value? Post by: rayg on November 29, 2013, 11:47:01 pm I agree with most, go for the older style blue machine
Title: Re: Stoner candy machine value? Post by: magcag01 on November 30, 2013, 06:51:50 pm Hey, Thanks all for your input. I couldn't get a hold of this guy. In the mean time another ad popped up.
I bought a Stoner 120. No rust, a few dents that can be take care of. They wanted 650 for it, I got for 550. I probably overpaid for it , but now i have one. Wife wants to do a yellow paint job to give it some "pop". Missing the side lock, and key for bottom. Already got media blaster/painter lined up. Time to start tear down. I'll post pics soon. Title: Re: Stoner candy machine value? Post by: djmckay1 on December 03, 2013, 10:22:52 am Can I ask what the blasting/paint is going to cost? Looking for same service and would like an idea. Thanks...great machine!
Title: Re: Stoner candy machine value? Post by: magcag01 on December 03, 2013, 11:21:44 am My sandblaster wants $100.00 to do top and base. May be less because I can do all small parts
at my work in cabinet blaster. It has some nasty dents around lower base, my paint guy will take care of that and also the bullet holes above mirror. He quoted me $500.00-$600.00. Going with yellow, just have to come up with shade of yellow we like. Machine is tore down and going to blaster this week. Title: Re: Stoner candy machine value? Post by: mznb1u on December 03, 2013, 11:50:01 am You were wise to hold off for the 120. It does not take up as much room and in the end is a more desireable machine. Can't wait to see the results. Here is a picture of one of mine for motivation.
