Title: Do the nickel slots need to start out full?
Post by: 87bob on October 21, 2013, 08:43:26 pm
Do the nickel slots need to start out full? I have not been filling the nickel slots when reinstalling the coin acceptor in my H63B. When I pug it in it pulls in a relay or coil it has an audible hum.

Yes, at least halfway full on both of them.

If your machine is for home use you could disconnect the C.R.E.M. (coin return electro magnet), insulate the wires and remove it.
