Title: Best way to fix cracked plastic?
Post by: HowDueYouDue on October 20, 2013, 07:47:42 pm
Picked up one of these today and the plastic ring on the bottom has a crack? What would be best to glue back and fill any space if it doesn't go all the way back? Thank you

Basic on the type of plastic it is you might want to try check out JB weld for plastic. It's an epoxy and can be used as a filler as well.

Ditto for Marine-tex and AcraGlas gel.  Both available from www.brownells.com.

I use them for gunsmithing but same theory for plastic.  You would probably have to paint after your repair is complete, though.

I'd leave that nice original as is.
