Title: Another productive weekend finding machines. Post by: loman4ec on January 23, 2005, 05:44:13 pm Well I gave my brother in law a late model coke machine for Christmas and now he has the coke machine bug. He put that one in his garage but he has decided that he wants another for his pole barn in the back yard. Well I got a call yesterday about one of my wanted ads and I knew that it would be a nice one for him. The man said he had a choice vend push button machine and he was about 30 miles from me. I went today and it was a nice machine. Somewhat beet up but not bad. It works and he only wanted $50. Not a bad deal, but the reson that I am writing this is then I saw something in the back corner of his garage. I thought it was a coke machine at first but it turns out that it was an old mini fridge. Has anyone ever seen anything like this. It works great and seems to be complete. It has a little surface rust but not bad. For $30 I couldn't pass it up. It says frigidaire by General Motors on the front. I know nothing about refrigerators. Is it worth anything?

at a swap meet this past summer it was already sold. Never seen another. A little paint and a decal it would be really cool. Title: Another productive weekend finding machines. It was in a old sunoco icebox gas station and had been there since the fifties. ran like a top before finally giving out about three years ago.
Title: Another productive weekend finding machines. Post by: loman4ec on January 24, 2005, 11:52:27 am I got an email today from a vintage refrigerator place and they say that it is a 1951 model. It is also the first apartment size refrigerator ever to be made. Not too bad for $30.

I just Graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University last month and I am back home to save money untill The FAA hires me in about 7 months. But yes my parents are extremely understanding. I also think I might go buy a 60s Vendolator 90 and a 60's Cavalier 96 tomorrow.

Hey do you know if any of your classmates are for northern California? I have a friend that was going to Aviation school in Florida. Title: Another productive weekend finding machines. Post by: loman4ec on January 24, 2005, 10:37:30 pm It is a rather large aviation school. It is the best and the largest in the U.S. I had alot of friends from California. Do you know names. Also I was a transfer so I mostly know people that are going to graduate in a few semesters. The only name that rings a bell from Cali is Dan Peroni. But if you know a name I would possibly know him.

I have those same bad habits and after filling the basement, my wife is at the end of her patience. Title: Another productive weekend finding machines. Post by: Eric on January 25, 2005, 04:40:51 pm All you have to do is sell one.... (which.. yes.. will hurt.)
But after they see that these are good investments. You'll never hear another complaint... Example when we bought our first home... needed a few updates. I sold 3 Coke Juniors... unrestored... paid for all the plumbing work. Have never heard another complaint. She loves the stuff now and enjoys the Chicago show (The mall being right down the road there helps too!) Eric Title: Another productive weekend finding machines.
