Title: Ideal Texaco Post by: BONOVOX on September 23, 2013, 05:22:10 pm Just wanted to share a few pics of where I laid my Ideal 55 to rest (for now till I decide what to do with it) and some Texaco letters that I picked up a couple of weeks ago.
I should have cleaned up the TV area before the pic... but then my wife would have asked if I was feeling alright lol :happydrinkers: Title: Re: Ideal Texaco Post by: Ltransam on September 23, 2013, 06:27:05 pm :jawdrop:

Title: Re: Ideal Texaco Post by: bcharlton on September 24, 2013, 07:41:35 am Ed,
I agree. The Yellow RC Cola doesn't seem to go with anything else in the room. I showed the pics to my interior decorator and she said dump it (I probable can find a room with some pastels that it would be more appropriate in my house). Because I am in Buffalo and you are close by in Canada, I will send a truck across the border and grab it this week if that is ok. I already cleared it with US Customs. Bc Title: Re: Ideal Texaco Post by: MoonDawg on September 24, 2013, 08:48:43 am I already cleared it with US Customs. And declared value was __________? Title: Re: Ideal Texaco Post by: BONOVOX on September 24, 2013, 09:26:23 am lol.....
Thanks all for the nice words.... I usually change the machines next to the TV every few months so that I feel like I got a new machine lol. (although I havnt done that in a while now) It's funny... with my Ideal 55, I declared 200 at the border and was questioned, drilled, and had to show my texts and email etc..... and they couldn't prove anything..... YET when I brought my RC 81 over the border, I claimed 1500, and they didn't even take a second look!!! The letters are not metal or porcelain (I wish) but rather plastic. They made them for Texaco in 2 sizes when it came to plastic.... 21" (what I have) and 13". I'm just missing the stars that go with it, but they always pop up on Ebay. Trust me when I say this........ IF you guys ever see my machines on CL, Ebay, or my local Kijiji, that means that I have died, and my wife is selling. Unitl then, tell all your interior decorators that yellow clashes with everything!! :tounge: Again, thanks guys for the nice words.... it's all still just a work in progress lol Ed (I think this is my 1000 th post !! wow, I spend too much time on the computer lol) :happydrinkers: Title: Re: Ideal Texaco Post by: MoonDawg on September 24, 2013, 10:45:58 am Trust me when I say this........ IF you guys ever see my machines on CL, Ebay, or my local Kijiji, that means that I have died, You were selling a 110 parts machine a while ago, is this...................... "one foot in the grave"? Title: Re: Ideal Texaco Post by: BONOVOX on September 24, 2013, 12:09:39 pm I was just letting an extra 110/81 door go, as I bought the machine for parts myself.
I guess that was me having a blocked artery. I have sold machines over the years.... typically when I go to pick up a machine for myself, I look to see what is around that area, simply to flip it even for a couple of hundred just to pay for the gas etc.... :happydrinkers: Title: Re: Ideal Texaco Post by: SIGNGUY on September 24, 2013, 02:47:13 pm I'd be distracted.. hard to pay attention to whats on screen with such great Eye Candy surrounding it..
