Title: Fridays haul. Post by: MaineT on September 06, 2013, 05:05:51 pm Ok, one isn't a haul, but when it's 15 miles away you do what you need to! Change giver and all!
Title: Re: Fridays haul. Post by: tkaz on September 06, 2013, 05:20:04 pm Nice! I'd have a hard time passing that up 15 miles from me.
Title: Re: Fridays haul. Post by: BONOVOX on September 06, 2013, 06:43:46 pm Nice haul! 15 miles..... wow.
I've driven 15 miles to the power of 1000 to get machines! Just don't put 7up on your Ebay listing with this one now  :happydrinkers: Title: Re: Fridays haul. Title: Re: Fridays haul. Post by: mygoose101 on September 06, 2013, 10:18:55 pm The closer a machine is to me, the more I tend to overpay for it. It's being competitive I guess. Would hate for my neighbor to show up with it and tell me, "hey, look what I just bought". Ain't going to happen.

It has happened! Title: Re: Fridays haul. Post by: rayg on September 07, 2013, 04:43:42 pm I agree ....the closer it is also means the easier it's to get... so when you are there in person it's easier to pull the trigger(and possibly pay more) ..than to talk yourself into driving a few hundred miles for what could be junk!
Title: Re: Fridays haul. Post by: BrianS on September 07, 2013, 06:38:00 pm A couple months after I first started looking for a RT coke machine, I came across a listing on local Craigslist from a guy selling a 56 and an 81D. I bought them both and still continue to look for other local machines almost every day. That was 3 years ago and haven't been lucky enough to come across another since then. When you find a nice one that close, you have to take advantage of it. Nice find!

Post by: Pixel on September 07, 2013, 10:43:43 pm My first working machine came from an antique store less than 15 miles away. Still cools fantastic after almost 8 years, and looks pretty good too. Needs a cleaning though.
There's something to be said for buying local. It's definitely cheaper on gas. They just don't show up that often around here though  Title: Re: Fridays haul. Post by: TheGarbageHunter on September 08, 2013, 09:24:19 am Sweeeeeeeet!!!!
