Title: Where are light switches Vendo 90
Post by: Sodak Bob on August 25, 2013, 11:36:14 am
Where are the light switches for the Vendo 90 or do they come on with the machine.  I assume there are lights in the door and the main front sign ?  Also - how do I access the plastic cover over the assembly cam for changing the price...  Thanks

No switches that I'm aware of. When you plug in, lights come on. Restoring a 63 now that had a few lights burned out,,one in door right over selection panel, one behind coin drop panel to light up bezel around coin slot and one behind marquee but no switches. If your coin mech is Coinco I'm not sure I can explain how to remove top section or not. There should be something in coin mech. section explaining.

If it's a Coinco,,,,,there is a group of pins,,all up is off for each selection. 1st pin pulled down is 5 cents, next is 20 then 40 and 60. So lets say you pull the first and second down,,you have set the price at 30 cents.

Unless it's the earlier electro-mechanical version of a tan plastic Coinco, in which case there is a "humped" plastic cover over a ratcheting-type stepper relay with a price wheel, in which case you normally have to push sideways on the little price thumb wheel in able to allow it to turn to the desired price.

Correction: Switches are pushed down for off................and pin values double left to right...... 5, 10, 20, 40 and 80.

Johnie is right - it is the earlier version with the plastic "humped" cover.  That is the cover that I am about to break trying to get it off.  Any ideas
