Title: Coinco 903030
Post by: Norrisk66 on August 21, 2013, 02:46:15 pm
Hi, coin mech is set at 50 cents.  When a quarter is inserted, it drops right into the coin return.

I think I have traced the problem to the upper solenoid.  It has a plastic arm on it that says "do not remove"

I can tape the arm in, and when I put a quarter in, it goes where it should.

The solenoid ohms at 1.731K Ohms.  It is not open, but I am thinking that it is not "sucking" the solenoid in?

My next step is to check power-should this solenoid have power on it at all times?

Thanks!
Keith

Do you have the change hoppers filled up with change and/or product in the machine?  What machine is the mech in?

I think I may have just the opposite going on. When I plug coin mech in, I hear the solenoids activate and don't release but stay in. When I remove top and drop a coin in goes to the right to coin hoppers but on machine,,the coin goes to left to return slot. I'll be watching for sure.

Both change hoppers are about 1/4 full of nickels.

I think it is a Vendo 52?  From what I can make of the tag-it says V52H-304
