Title: question re: thermostats - clockwise for colder?? Post by: vintagegamer on August 18, 2013, 07:04:50 pm In our Vendo 125, the thermostat was almost all the way to the notch, but had a little space left. I have turned it clockwise to where it is now completely up to the notch (it's around the 7:00 position).
My goal was to make the sodas colder, so is it safe to assume that clockwise is to make the sodas colder and counter to bring the temp higher? I have a pic of the thermostat but sadly it's too big to upload here. Thanks! Title: Re: question re: thermostats - clockwise for colder?? Post by: johnieG on August 18, 2013, 07:38:19 pm typically the higher the number the colder the setting & that would be clockwise, no biggy if you turn it the wrong way, it will just shut off the compressor, if so, then wait about 3-4 minutes (if the compressor was running) & turn it back the other way. And of course you must realize that yo cant turn it a full circle/360-degress

Title: Re: question re: thermostats - clockwise for colder?? Post by: Alligator on August 19, 2013, 11:02:38 am The thermostat on my vendo 63 does not have any markings, either. I think clockwise = colder on my unit also. At about halfway on the thermostat the coldest soda's come out between 32-34 degrees.
And the 220-221 comment is epic from Mr. Mom. :) I've never seen that movie, I don't think. |
