Title: Basic Cooling system 101 Post by: johnieG on August 05, 2013, 05:30:25 pm Just thought I'd post this basic sketch of a typical capillary cooling system for future use by members in hopes it will help identify system components, locations, & names for trouble shooting purposes.
Copy & post with your questions (in regards to your own troubles) with your own notes, circles, arrows, etc. to help I.D. your system problems. Mind that not all components are present on all makes of machines & to keep it simple, I've omitted the cooling fans & wiring, etc. So now you'll know the name of those "thingys" & "doohickeys" I use MS Paint to create it by the way. Title: Re: Basic Cooling system 101 Post by: globalcompressors on August 05, 2013, 06:26:32 pm you forgot "dumaflotchie" and "thingamajig" :glare:
but you did mention leaving off the "gizmos" and "doodads"... so I won't ask about those  Title: Re: Basic Cooling system 101 Post by: tkaz on August 05, 2013, 08:58:25 pm Huh, I always figured there was a mouse turning a wheel in there...have to wait 24 hours to turn it on b/c the mouse gets disoriented after a long drive!
Thanks for the diagram, nice to know what's going on, and the parts to better help troubleshoot Title: Re: Basic Cooling system 101 Post by: BrianS on August 05, 2013, 11:35:31 pm Great sketch - I'm sure it will be referenced a lot in future questions
