Title: My Latest Finds And Boy Am I Happy Post by: jbrumett on July 29, 2013, 08:39:02 pm With a three month old its been hard to find time for the hobby but I did come across these items that I am happy to own....and yes they are keepers.
A day after a member here purchased my Stoner Theater I could not resist when this came up for sale here in KY and 30 minutes down the road I was able to score the clock. I even ventured into Indiana when I got a lead on a U Select for $100. The owner of the U Select had 5 of these and had just taken the other 4 to the dump and was talked into keeping this one as it was the better of the 5. Anyway, he said he had the base somewhere in the building for it after I agreed to buy it but he called back to say it had accidentally went to the landfill as well. Not only were 4 U Selects thrown away but the others all had bases with them. So much for letting your kids take care of cleaning out the barn ha ha!!!! Hope to get a base fabricated soon. If it took more than that then I would not have been able to get them. As for the Stoner Theater, it's a nice original and it will be staying that way. Like most people the wood grain is not my top choice but I truly want to preserve this piece of history. I start cleaning it up tomorrow.
