Title: Westinghouse Standard - Replacement Cooling unit
Post by: sbcroix on July 27, 2013, 01:56:15 pm
Anyone sell or know anyone who sells replacement water bath cooling systems for a Westinghouse Standard?
I pinged global compressors and he said he doesn't do the water-bath systems, only conversions.
I want to keep this a water-bath, but am running out of options.

Help me soda-machines.com discussion areas, you're my only hope.

Did you get the one listed in Tumwater, or Seattle?

Water bath cooling systems are repairable, but nobody I know reproduces them insofar as the evaporator coil assembly itself, there just isn't a market demand.

I have an extra evaporator Coil if you need it but do not have the compressor deck.

Are you doing a water bath for your own use or are you selling it?  I don't know many people that like to have standing water in their homes which is why most of us don't restore the "chillers".

It's for me, going to sit in the garage.  I am actually restoring my grandparents old machine and it just wouldn't feel right if it wasn't a water bath.  The memories I have of sticking my hands into that ice cold water to grab a soda are a big reason I got interested in soda machines in the first place.

I also love my regular soda machines but I have a special fondness for my water bath cooler sitting on the back deck. Nothing like pulling a ice cold soda or beer out of the water.  :happydrinkers:
