Title: After 3 long years Post by: scalebowler on July 21, 2013, 08:08:52 pm Christine lives again! 3 years ago I replaced the insulation and repaired some rust on the liner. Then a few weeks later the thermostat went out and after I ordered the part I realized that the wires were shot and it just got put aside until a few weeks ago when I became fed up with seeing my machine sitting there collecting dust so I ordered a wiring harness, fan motors, and some mounts for the compressor and got the compressor deck working again. Took the whole thing apart and repainted the deck and evaporator and condenser coils. Replaced the fan motors and replaced all the wiring. It's nowhere near a great restoration but it does look nice now and with the new compressor mounts the compressor is just slightly louder than a refrigerator instead of what was described as a "liopleurodon" by JohnieG
