Title: Ebay Email Help
Post by: BONOVOX on July 16, 2013, 07:17:55 pm
Does anyone know how to add a personal email into a Ebay message?
Everytime I try (in all different ways), Ebay will not allow me to add a email thru Ebay msg.

I know others have sent them to me before, but I deleted them and I forgot how their wrote it out.

Thanks

You could try making a picture with you email written on it in Paint or other program and attaching it to the message that way.  Not sure if it'll get through, but it's worth a shot.

Or try: please email me at johnsmith at gmail dot com

They have turned their filters way up. It was allowed years ago, then it started to get harder and harder and now it's I think impossible. The weird thing is most of the time you can still put a phone number is a message.

I think if you were to say please message me.
I am going to write this in code so it passes through the EBay filters. Hopefully you will get it.
My name is johndoe and my provider is aol, Please COMmunicate or NETwork with me.
Worth a try I guess! This is all news to me as the last time I sent my email to a fellow EBay member I had no issues

Thanks all.
I don't want to phone the guy yet (not at that stage yet)

I have tried spelling out the email etc.... but I will try the advise of actually incorporating it into a sentence.
I think the ebay filters out words like "dot" or "yahoo" or even "com"  and I have a feeling because my address is linked to Ebay, as soon as I type in my email name, it flags it.

Well, thanks all. (using the pic method will be the last resort)

Thanks all
